Opening Jam OUTDOOR across from Visitor's Center
The Yoga Mountain Jam is outdoors this year with a Farm-to-Table dinner to follow!!!   It is located off property 1/2 mile from the Lodge which isn’t as convenient as the past AND it is the only place that will hold all of us safely.   We will continue to make memories, build relationships, and adventure to new heights with yoga, music, movement, interaction, and laughter to dissolve hardened boundaries and create connection.  The class is designed to unwind from this crazy year, release tension in your body, and encourage peace of mind.   It sets the tone for this powerful weekend of yoga, music, nature, and cultivating a broader sense of kindness toward all beings, especially yourself.

Tai Chi for Beginners
Qigong and Tai Chi: Movement Meditations We will warm up with an ancient form of Qigong (Qi = energy/breath; Gong = work) called the 8 Section Brocade (Baduanjin), a series of 8 easy to remember movements that focus on different areas and meridians of the body to open and release the facia and promote energy flow. We will then begin to learn Yang style 24 Simplified Tai Chi, a standardized form consisting of 24 movements designed to promote health. The benefits of daily practice include enhanced mind-body harmony, coordination of breath and movement, improved flexibility, joint health, internal energy, posture, balance, muscle strength, and emotional well-being, along with reduced stress and anxiety.

Understanding Pranayama + Sound Bath
Prana is Sanskrit for energy or life force. Ayama is to expand. As practitioners, we use breath and awareness as a tool to clear and expand our energy body. Pranayama is traditionally one of the 8 limbs (or parts) that make up a yoga practice, alongside asana (physical posture). In this workshop, students will gain a basic understanding of what pranayama is, how it works within our bodies, techniques to use for certain occasions and everyday practices to maintain wellbeing. Our pranayama practice will be paired with gentle movement and a sound bath using crystal and metal singing bowls.I recommend light eating until after the workshop! Many pranayama techniques are best practiced on an empty stomach.

Going Yin-Ward + Sound Bath
A journal / yin experience designed to drop you into your inner world. Our bodies often hold tension associated with trapped emotions. With yin yoga ,we allow ourselves to get deep into those spaces where we explore and release. Through stillness and breath, we receive downloads of things we’re called to process. I invite you to bring your journal to this class. As we practice you will have things that surface for you- patterns, persistent thoughts, internal epiphanies.. etc etc. We’ll take time throughout the class to check in and write what comes up for us. No judgement. Just observation and exploration. Digging deeper into the process. I will offer mindful journal prompts for those who would like a little help getting started. No pressure no judgement. Come as you are.
